This is a class assignment using a watercolor-on-glass palimpsest animation technique, where each frame is partially covered and reworked to create the next image. The animation is based on a recurring nightmare from my childhood, featuring a large mammoth-like figure appearing in a dark hallway. I used a retarder to keep the watercolor malleable and adjusted the paint by hand between frames. Each frame was photographed using a downshooter in Dragonframe.
