This is a visual representation of how the verticality of a workspace can be directly determined by your connection to the human directly above you. I was inspired by barber pole swirl cylinders, which spin but appear to rise or lower. I figured I could apply the same concept to my spinning piece of paper. I tested the idea in Blender by blocking out a spiral staircase before drawing it on paper with watercolor pencils and finishing the piece with watercolor.
